Toaspern Alma
Alma Toaspern is a freelance dancer, choreographer and teacher from Germany. After dancing with the Leipziger Tanztheater she studied contemporary and classical dance at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt/ Main and received a scholarship of the German National Academic Foundation (Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes). In 2014 she graduated from the Research Cycle at P.A.R.T.S., Brussels under the direction of Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker. She has worked a.o. with Trajal Harrell, Alexandra Bachzetsis, Ioannis Mandafounis, Hermann Heisig a.o.. Her own work is shown mostly throughout Europe. Since 2014 she collaborates and performs in a reconstruction project on the bauhaus dances by Oskar Schlemmer under the artistic direction of Christophe Wavelet.
She teaches workshops and classes in contemporary dance and improvisation and co-founded, organises and teaches the professional dance training ProfiTraining in Leipzig in 2017.
