Hübner Klaas

Klaas Hübner is sound sculptor, improviser and instrument maker. He has developed a body of work, which honours sound as a live-medium with which to craft, shape and play in real-time. He has developed a playful practice reaching from punk to minimalism, which ranges from installation-based works, to live improvisations, to theatre and dance. He performed and exhibited at the Cafe OTO in London, the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art, the Darb Center Cairo, the Citadel in Erbil in South Kurdistan and the Music Box Village in New Orleans where his instrument, the Chateau Poulet, is displayed and was musically imbedded into performances of Tony Allen, The Sun Ra Arkestra, Peaches, the Residents, Arto Lindsay, Animal Collective and many more.
