"I am a musician and mobile media artist, and my research is concerned with creativity with mobile mediated practice – for sound, image and performance. I am using the Carry Principle as a protocol for examining the limitations and potentials imposed by mobility: small, personal, communicative, multifunctional, battery operated and always on (even when powered down). As a member of the prototechno duo A Man Called Adam, my background is rooted in UK's electronic dance music and DJ culture. Recordings range from early works on Giles Peterson’s cult Acid Jazz label, Chicago’s house music label Prescription Records, to the multi-million selling Café del Mar series. My sound design commissions include gallery-enabling sound for exhibition spaces such as the British Museum, O2 Centre, London and the Miraikan Museum, Tokyo. I have a firm belief in promoting inclusivity and creativity through the cultural adhesive of music, sound and mobility."
