Tuned City Messene will take place between June 1st and 3rd entirely in Ancient Messene and the village Mavromati next to it. In order to avoid delay, guests are kindly asked to be on the site 30 minutes prior to each performance. Guests are also advised to wear comfortable lightweight clothing and good walking shoes, and have available with them a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water.
Ancient Messene is quite remote. From Athens you have to plan a 3 hours drive. You can also check Kalamata-Airport for a more direct connection.
With the support of the Creative Europe Program of the EU and the financing by the Onassis Stegi all events will be free of charge for the audience! The OCC will cover all entrance fees to the actual archaeological site for our guests. The offer is not applicable for groups organised by travel agencies unless there has been a prior agreement with the Onassis Stegi.

Accommodation and transportation to and from Ancient Messini

Transport by coach to and from Ancient Messene: 20 € per person (for all ages). The coaches are not wheelchair accessible.
The coaches will undertake circular journeys at no extra charge, from the archaeological site to the nearby village of Mavromati at the following times: Ancient Messene – Mavromati, 13:00 & 14:30 | Mavromati – Ancient Messene, 15:00 & 16:30. - Rent a car: Cost depending on the specifications of the rental document.
Hotel accommodation in the surrounding area: e.g. Messini (22 klm), Boukas beach (30 klm), Kalamata (36 klm) etc., depending on vacancies at the time of the request. (Prices contingent on request specifications: breakfast, dates, and length of stay).
Departure time in the morning: 6:30 am, arrival in ancient messene: 9:30-10:00 am (with 20' stop)
